Don't let an enlarged prostate put a kink in your hose

If your flow doesn’t go like it used to,
it could be an enlarged prostate
blocking the way, also known as
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH).

What is Benign
Prostatic Hyperplasia?

Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia, or BPH, is a condition in which the prostate enlarges as men get older. Over 40% of men in their 50s and over 70% of men in their 60s have BPH1. While BPH is a benign condition and unrelated to prostate cancer, it can greatly affect a man’s quality of life.

How BPH is Diagnosed

Australian guidelines do not require a digital rectal examination to diagnose BPH. Diagnosis is based on urinary symptoms and exclusion of serious conditions. A symptom test can help determine if you may have BPH.*
